    An Invitation to discuss the Department for Communities’ 2025/26 Budget Allocations.⏰25th July & Friday 1st August⏰ starting at 10am (concluding around 11.30/12 noon)⏰ on ZOOMArts Matter NI last got together to discuss the draft PfG which had no explicit mention of direct investment or initiatives to support the Culture, Arts, and Heritage sector.The Department for Communities has organised a consultation on 2025/26 Budget Allocations and there are a number of areas and issues requiring discussion.Arts Matter NI would like to invite representatives of organisations, arts facilitators, and artists to a meeting to discuss a response to this consultation.Given the time of year, the closing date is August 7th, we are suggesting hosting two meetings, conducted via ZOOM, taking place on Friday 25th July and Friday 1st August, starting at 10am and concluding around 11.30/12 noon.     A great turn out of the arts community landed up at Stormont today. Everyone reaffirmed what we all know - that the arts matter and are not valued by our policy makers. It was heartening on one hand to speak directly to MLAs on the Communities Committee and to hear that the all party group, chaired by Sian Mulholland, wants to become a platform to address our concerns.
